How to Cook Pork Chops in An Air Fryer

Making air fryer pork chops is super easy and only requires a handful of simple ingredients. You’ll need:

  • 1 lb. lean boneless pork chops, cut or pounded thin into 4 chops
  • 2 eggs
  • ¾ cup whole wheat panko breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup whole wheat flour
  • Dash of garlic powder, dried thyme, oregano and black pepper

While we love the savory, herbaceous combination of garlic, thyme and oregano, you can definitely feel free to swap in your own favorite spices and herbs. Sodium-free spices and seasoning blends are considered Free Foods on Nutrisystem, so you can sprinkle them until your heart’s content! If you like a little spice, add some cayenne pepper for a little extra heat. Onion powder, smoked paprika, chili powder turmeric or rosemary are other delicious, unlimited options that you can add.

To prepare these crispy, thin pork chops, preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees and create an assembly line with three bowls:

  1. Place the flour in the first bowl.
  2. Beat the eggs in the second bowl.
  3. Combine the panko breadcrumbs and seasonings in the third bowl.

Dip a pork chop into the flour to coat, followed by the eggs, then the panko mixture. Make sure all sides of the pork chop are coated in each mixture.

Now it’s time to get cooking! Spray the air fryer basket with nonstick cooking spray and place the pork chop inside. Spray the top of the pork chop with nonstick cooking spray and cook it for six minutes. Flip the pork chop and continue cooking for another four to six minutes, or until the pork is fully cooked. Repeat this process with the remaining pork chops.
